MERINGUE
In this project, I collaborated with couture designer Valentina Braun, blending elements of her haute couture creations with pieces I personally styled. The striking floral shoulder piece was handcrafted by myself, becoming both a sculptural accent and a symbol of organic fragility. The shoot took place in autumn 2016 in Tübingen, the town where I once lived. Bathed in the soft glow of the setting sun, the scene unfolded in a palette of warmth and reflection. Subtle refractions, created by a crystal I held before the lens, added layers of distortion and dreamlike blur, evoking a sense of delicate imperfection. Our model, Julie March, embodied both strength and grace, merging the essence of a fashion editorial with the intimacy of a beauty portrait. This was a self-initiated, artistic project, entirely conceived, organized, and executed by me, from concept and direction to final retouch. Looking back nearly a decade later, I still feel a quiet pride in the timelessness of its mood and the sincerity of its creation.
