BLOOMINGLOOM

This free portfolio series was originally created in 2016 with Nika Sogo, a young newcomer model from the Stuttgart agency Brodybookings, and it remains one of the most personal projects of my early career. For months, I crafted a jacket from artificial flowers from IKEA, building it piece by piece, and this handmade creation became the heart of the shoot. To complete the styling, I combined the flower pieces with dresses from the British label Self Portrait, and I dressed and styled the model myself throughout the production. At that time I was still relatively new to the industry and worked entirely without assistants, so every aspect of the shoot from the lighting and the photographic set-up to the styling and creative direction rested on my shoulders, with only one makeup artist on set for support.

In 2025, I returned to this body of work and reimagined it with fresh eyes, adding new photographs, refining the original edits, and selectively incorporating AI based enhancements. The result is a visual set that connects the past with the present, merging photography, post-production and elements of fashion design into one continuous narrative. When I was younger I had always dreamed of studying fashion design but never found the courage to pursue it, and in small projects like this one I allowed that early ambition to surface, transforming quiet personal wishes into something tangible and expressive.
